Just like a sunbeam can’t separate itself from the sun, and a wave can’t separate itself from the ocean, we can’t separate ourselves from one another. We are all part of a vast sea of love, one indivisible divine mind.

To hold our tongues when everyone is gossiping, to smile without hostility at people and institutions, to compensate for the shortage of love in the world with more love in small, private matters; to be more faithful in our work, to show greater patience, to forgo the cheap revenge obtainable from mockery and criticism: all these are things we can do.

Calm mind, calm soul.

I think one of my biggest problems with my anxiety is that I have to know ‘why’. I can’t leave these thoughts unresolved.. But as I strive to discover wonderful new things about life each day, and even in myself, I must understand that there are some things that I will not, and maybe cannot, comprehend. And in a divine way, that is a beautiful new discovery in itself.

The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.
